Set photos from "Spies of Warsaw" seem to show David sporting a very wavy hair style, and he's looking more auburn than usual.

I love it, of course, but this has made me think of all the gorgeous hair styles he's bestowed upon us over the years, so I thought it might be worthy of discussion ;)

In looking over my pictures I realized that David's performances run the gamut from naughty to nice. I thought that would be a good theme for a sexy off. Is David sexier when being naughty or nice?

I think we can all agree that David's beautiful smile lights up our worlds. But when he's slightly edgy, or a little dark--a little intense or even smoldering with raw sex appeal---WOWZA!

THE PROOF IS IN THE PICS! )

David is nominated in The Sun's "World's Sexiest Man" poll. Need I say more?

Vote here: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/features/4297912/Now-its-time-to-vote-for-the-worlds-sexiest-man.html

Edit: the link isn't working (as at midnight, UK time) but I'll update if/when The Sun fixes it

The theme of this week's DTSO, coincidentally, is "Awards David Should Receive" - check it out ;)

We all know that David has received a lot of awards for his acting. I think we should open up the awards categories to cover other wonderful accomplishments. Join me below the cut to see some of the awards I think he should get.

I'd planned on posting this on Monday, to celebrate Shakespeare day, but "better late than never" as the old saying goes ;)

This week's theme is David's roles in Shakespeare's plays, but I'm going to cheat a bit by encouraging the inclusion of his radio and audio work, and photos from rehearsals etc, because ... well, it's another excuse to share those yummy behind-the-scenes moments that accompany such productions.

And for additional inspiration, should it be needed:
On Quoting Shakespeare

If you cannot understand my argument, and declare ``It's Greek to me'', you are quoting Shakespeare; if you claim to be more sinned against than sinning, you are quoting Shakespeare; if you recall your salad days, you are quoting Shakespeare; if you act more in sorrow than in anger; if your wish is farther to the thought; if your lost property has vanished into thin air, you are quoting Shakespeare; if you have ever refused to budge an inch or suffered from green-eyed jealousy, if you have played fast and loose, if you have been tongue-tied, a tower of strength, hoodwinked or in a pickle, if you have knitted your brows, made a virtue of necessity, insisted on fair play, slept not one wink, stood on ceremony, danced attendance (on your lord and master), laughed yourself into stitches, had short shrift, cold comfort or too much of a good thing, if you have seen better days or lived in a fool's paradise -why, be that as it may, the more fool you , for it is a foregone conclusion that you are (as good luck would have it) quoting Shakespeare; if you think it is early days and clear out bag and baggage, if you think it is high time and that that is the long and short of it, if you believe that the game is up and that truth will out even if it involves your own flesh and blood, if you lie low till the crack of doom because you suspect foul play, if you have your teeth set on edge (at one fell swoop) without rhyme or reason, then - to give the devil his due - if the truth were known (for surely you have a tongue in your head) you are quoting Shakespeare; even if you bid me good riddance and send me packing, if you wish I was dead as a door-nail, if you think I am an eyesore, a laughing stock, the devil incarnate, a stony-hearted villain, bloody-minded or a blinking idiot, then - by Jove! O Lord! Tut tut! For goodness' sake! What the dickens! But me no buts! - it is all one to me, for you are quoting Shakespeare.

I'm off to bed shortly but I hope to keep this going over the weekend so please feel free to pop in at any time to suit.

On April 18, 1971 Reverend Sandy McDonald and his wife Helen welcomed into the world their third child, a son they named David John McDonald. Today he is better known as David Tennant. Today we celebrate that gorgeous child.

Thanks to beechy_geek for the picture.

It's time to sign up to host your very own Sexy-Off in April.

As you know, the Sexy Off traditionally starts on a Friday, but this month we're trying something different again: you can choose your own week!

Simply stake your claim here, and away you go! You can choose to host your Sexy-Off on any day within your chosen week (hosting for the whole week is fine, too, but not essential).

Don't worry if you can't be on-line much on your chosen day/evening - as long as you make your initial post, rolling on into the following day(s) is absolutely fine, as we're a community that covers every time zone. Remember: our motto may be "Making weekends a little bit sexier" but that doesn't mean that we have to neglect the week ;)

As always, any member is welcome to host. Just comment with which week you want, but please indicate if you're flexible, to give others a chance. I'll make sure you have access from the Monday, but you're free to begin at any time within that seven-day period.

How it works:
The host makes the initial post and starts things off. It's helpful if you are going to be on-line on your day, to help keep things rolling, but don't worry if you can't - there are enough of us around to keep things lively.

Once the post is up, anyone can comment or post pictures. It's certainly not necessary that the pictures be new or rare. Any pictures are good! And if you don't have any pictures yourself, you can still contribute to the conversation. The only rule is that we celebrate the sexiness of David Tennant. As I mentioned above, it's not even necessary to keep the conversation to the initial afternoon/evening. If you feel the need to post some pictures or comment to threads on the following day(s), go for it.

No hot-linking! Please use a photo hosting site for all pictures that you post.

Also, please note: I'm in the UK and if your time zone is on the other side of the planet (Australia, for example) then you may need posting access earlier than we would generally grant it, so please let me know when you sign up for your day's posting.

Dates for your diary - April Sexy Offs:
Week commencing 2 April
Week commencing 9 April
Week commencing 16 April

Week commencing 23 April
Week commencing 30 April

And, since it's Friday and no-one has claimed today, I thought I'd share this gorgeous photo, courtesy of Virgin Media, which you may wish to discuss ;)
